Your Internet Service Provider wants you to frequent its web site, and it probably has set your browser to bring up its home page when you first start your browser. Many of us would prefer that another page be used as the start page, and that change can be easily made. Just follow the these instructions.
Mozilla Firefox- Click on Tools in the browser Menu bar. Then click on Options. The options window will appear that has several icons in a vertical navigation bar.
- Click on the General icon. The first field, Homepage Location(s), will have the URL address of the page that is currently your start page.
- Change that address to be the one you want to use. To use the Family Gateway to the Internet, type or copy/paste the following address into the field.
http://www.mormon-lds-gateway.org/index.html
- If you have that page displayed on your monitor, you can click the Use Current button instead of typing the address.
- Click OK to close the Options window.
- Click the Home icon in the browser Tool bar to activate your new start page.
Internet Explorer- Click on Tools in the browser Menu bar and then on Internet Options. A window will appear that has several tabs at the top.
- If it is not already selected, click on the General Tab. You will see a section at the top of the General area that is titled Home Page.
- To the right of the home icon, you will see an address field that contains the http:// address of the page that is currently your start page. Change that address to be the one you want to use. To use the Family Gateway to the Internet, type or copy/paste the following address into the field.

Netscape Navigator- Clock on Edit in the browser menu bar and then on Preferences. A window will appear that has a white area and a gray area.
- In the middle of the gray area there is a section called Home Page. That section has a location field that contains the http:// address of the page currently being used as your start page. Change that address to be the one you want to use. To use the Family Gateway to the Internet, type or copy/paste the following address into the field.
